So Question I'm sure you've all wondered at some point

Have any of you heard of putting a current car interior COMPLETE into your custom classic?

I've got my 1968 impala convertible. It's going to cost me about $3,000.00 to have the seats/interior redone. For $2,000 I could part out the interior of a late 90's caddy or acura or something.

I want to know if its possible to put all that electrical crap under the dash to make it look clean like it is supposed to.

I want to have a completely modern feel when inside; like your driving a 2010 escalade, but looks like the badass 68 impala convertible with a procharger that it will be.

Any comments, thoughts, experience with something like this?

PS:

Is there anything I should worry about (EG: Fire hazard with windshield draining/electrical components, being too sexy for the streets, etc.)

I have heard of it being done and seen it done and it puts a great twist on a classic restoration... The only main obstacle is finding a rear bench that will conform nicely to the interior. Just make sure your visibility is still going to be ok.
