Ignition switch
I forgot how to remove the ignition switch from my '64 Impala.
I used a wire to press in the release in the small hole by the key slot, with the key in it and the switch in various positions. What am I doing wrong? |

That thing probably hadn't moved in 45 years.
You'd be a little stubborn too if your plunger hadn't been moved in that long. There's a product called Tri-Flow that's spray teflon and it's different from anything else I know of. It's the best thing I've found for locks and ignition switches. It doesn't attract grime like WD40 does in those things. It's the only thing I use in locks with tumblers. |
