Simple Question Thread |
Sep 13, 2011 - 8:54 PM - by Snakes
|
Okay, I was thinking about this for a while now.
Instead of making a new thread just for, example, "How much does a hood cost?", you could just post it in this thread and someone will answer the question. So any short and simple questions just post them here.
So if you guys like this idea, maybe make it a sticky thread...?
So I guess I could start off how long is the "Impala" badge that was on the side doors of the '03's?

PLEASE READ! When Posting About Car Troubles |
Jul 14, 2010 - 8:06 AM - by wanderson75
|
Hey guys. Most of you that have been around for a while already know this, but I just wanted to reiterate for some of our newer members, or people that haven't posted on car issues before.
We as a community are more than happy to help you with your car troubles, admins and users alike. But many posts are lacking the necessary information to get looking in the right direction immediately. This would be:
Year and Trim Level of the Car - Many Impala production runs had mid-year or mid-lifecycle changes in them. What may be a common issue in one model year may actually have a different common issue that displays the same symptoms. Likewise, different trim levels have different options and equipment installed.
What Size Motor Do You Have? - Even though this is usually the most important piece of information, this is almost NEVER posted in the original thread. Some model years have two or three different engine options. We need to know this before we can help you.
Do you have a Check Engine Light or Service Engine Soon Displaying? - If you do, you can take the car to almost any local auto parts place and have the codes read for free. These codes are ESSENTIAL to any quick resolution.
Help us all to help you better.
Thanks.

T-shirts & Premium Memberships |

I am happy to announce that the tshirts & decal sets are now here!
ImpalaForums.com Tshirts & Decal Sets For Sale Here

The design drawing doesn't do them justice at all and I really think you guys will be proud of these. Please note that the shirts are only available in dark red with silver graphics right now. We made just a few of the black ones and they won't be distrubuted at this time. If we sell out of the first run and you guys want a different color, we can vote on that. I had hoped to be able to sell them for around $15/shipped but since I did less than (50) on the first run and USPS Priority and mailing supplies are so freakin expensive, it looks like around $18.99 will be the as low as I can go. That also covers my credit card and PayPal fees. Trust me guys, I'm not making money on these. Also keep in mind that we only have a few in each size so get your orders in now. The first batch will mail out on Tuesday morning.
Also, I've decided to add a couple of paid memberships on the site.

Impala Girls |

So, I bought my impala awhile back and I went out to celebrate and show it off. Its an 04 Impala SS Indy. So my buddy takes me to a strip club and he's making a big deal about it. And the girls are all like ewww... I don't like impalas, I'd rather drive a honda. I almost got up and slapped the biatch. But now, I'm on this site and I see a few ladies with impalas. And I just want to say thank you to the ladies that have taste in what they drive.

Did anybody noticed the "Lane Change" signal? |
|
May 16, 2012 - 7:35 PM - by johnccc

I noticed this after a day or so when I got my 2011 Impala, When you signal left or right, but only push it enough so it does not hold, it blinks 3 times, perfect for a lane change.
I noticed this 1st in the VW's, now I know my Impala has it, its just another bonus, can anybody with earlier year Impala's check to see if this happens too, I would like to know which year model started this nice trend.
Thanks, John.

3 questions.... |
|
May 16, 2012 - 12:55 PM - by rivernet1

I have a 2011 Chevy Impala LT:
1. Would it be "goofy" to get a moon/sunroof?
2. Anyone get a smell coming from the vents that resembles cat pee? (How in the world do you get rid of it?)
3. When going over 55MPH, the front wheels seems to "dance" on the road, meaning I have to keep the car straight more often than not. (Or are the roads here in CA THAT BAD?)
Thanks for the replies! :)

A/C water drain |
|
May 16, 2012 - 12:17 PM - by Flyboyray1

|
I posted this last year with no results. I thought I had it fixed last year but it's back this year. I have a plugged water drain from the A/C system. After running the air for awhile and pulling into the garage, no water drains on the floor. (A/C works good). The mold smell is back on the fresh air side. I sprayed some stuff from Advance Auto into the system last year and it started draining water on the floor but it stopped again. Anyone have a good fix to keep the drain open? 2006 LTZ.
