we've been $3.80 to $4.00 for months now, mostly closer to the $4.00 mark.... when gas hits $4.25, I'm going to BIKE the 20 miles to school and 20 miles home... lol

Yahoo answers is just plain useless, as we all know... I just put a question out there for the hell of it, "What chrysler car would make a good hot rod" and specified, 30's or 40's. The "top contributor" says I have better luck buying a prowler (which still cost ~30K, btw) and "just doing a motor swap to a 5.7L Hemi"...... ok, the prowler came with a 3.5L V6 motor that BARELY fit under that hood. They won't take a turbo or a supercharger, or you blow a hole in the block. So how does this guy think you can fit a 5.7L V8 in the thing?!?! Betcha he's one of those that sees a Nissan GTR and says it's a ferrari or some shit too... "POSER-CAR-GUYS" SUCK.

Oh yea those guys do suck! Whats worse with prowlers, is you can't FIT in them. I saw a valet guy that had to literally CLIMB ibto one to park it! He reached in, before even getting in, and put the seat all the way back, tilted the wheel up, then put his right foot up and over the steering wheel! Climbed up, and basically stood UP, before sitting down, kind of climbing OVER the steering wheel. He was kind of a big guy, but not huge. Those cars are not made for big guys.....
That would grind MY gears, if I couldn't fit in my car!!

I had one of these for last summer. I am 6'5" 250
With the roof up near impossible for me to get in but I did
With the roof folded into the truck you can put a dozen beer in the truck,,,,,, but they have to be taken out of the case.
Was like driving a friggen go-kart and the 3.5 that was in it actually did pretty well. Dual throttles etc. I am told that engine was supposed to the one they were going to turbo etc. but the program died. ( allegedly )
It was not the standard 3.5 and had pretty good balls for what it was.
Brakes were pretty good as well and it still got lots of looks in the parking lots.
A lot of people did not know what it was.
Rough riding and hard to park.
I say hard to park becasue of the design of the nose etc.
You were actually 3 feet closer to everything than you thought you were. Nose damage to these are pretty common.
The turn signal arms at the front are friggen ugly but there is a "delete" product(s) you can get for it that has projector type lights and looks a lot better.

I found the trick to working on it was to remove the engine side covers nose piece and hood. The side covers are held inplace with 4 Dzus fasteners, hood was 4 10mm bolts and one guy can lift it easy, and the nose piece was 4 10mm bolts as well.
Once they were off it was actually easier to work on than the impala.
Tune up, water pump. fan belt. alt. oil change, etc etc.
I bet you could have the motor and tranny out in about 30 mins.

Just my $0.02 worth

P

Like $3.30 here.

I hate riding in a car with someone that can't drive.

Gas is high in WI especially, but Midwest Lake Michigan region because of a busted pipeline near the WI Dells. EPA shut it down cause it wasn't eco friendly. Causing a bit of a shortage. Should be fixed soon.....hopefully.

Had to drop off paperwork at school for more financial aid. Whenever you call the financial aid office, they say "due to the high influx of students we need to process, nobody is available to process your call. please visit in person *click*".... and they won't let you fax it. so I take the 20 minute trip, no big deal other than gas... so then I get there, there are 2 people on line...

Any time I have to deal with administration, it makes me want to strangle someone...

must have been a slow day on campus because I had a campus cop follow me around until I parked, waiting for me to break that 25 mph speed limit... lol
