Nissan Skyline... thoughts?

Any thoughts on the 2009 Nissan Skyline, and is the GTR shown below the model to be released in the USA?

Some pics I have seen make this car look very nice, but other make it look to boy racer-ish. Curious what you all think.

Its an awesome looking car, seen one here at work one day. It is ridiculous of the things that you have to do to maintain it and the service agreement you have to sign with Nissan. You have to maintain a strict mileage maintenance with them.

Yea that is the GTR that was released here.

I think it is a good looking sporty car. Its great if you like plastic.

But for the money they want, I would say there are better options out there.

480 hp that'll you'll never be able to use if you hope to have some kind of warranty on it. Don't forget the $119 /L trans fluid.

Yea that does suck. Its pretty cool that the devs of the Gran Turismo franchise are the ones who created the HU interface for the gauges and read outs.

"The computer holds the engine at 4,500 rpm and waits for you to lift your left foot off the brake pedal. Now I see what your saying... basically the funnest feature of the car voids the warranty when you use it... bummer

Just found out from our sales department that we are getting a ZR1 (supposedly)

I will believe it when I see but if we do I will get some pics up of it.

I know everyone loves the G8 and I agree that its the most car for the money around... I am not particularly in love with the styling though... I am the only one I know who isnt, so I admit I am a clear minority.

The caddy V line is far more beastly than than the G8 IMO... itd better be twice as nice for twice the price...

I agree,if I didn't owe 19k on my ride I would love to trade it in for a RWD CTS-V or a G8 GT...either way can't go wrong both rides,gotta love 400+ HP to the rear wheels instead of the front,lol...

I have been around B-bodies since mid 2000 and have been working on them since about 2002. I work at a shop that specializes in the repair and restoration/refurbishing of 91-96 Caprice and Impala cars. I do not and have not claimed to know everything about these cars, but by seeing a great deal of these cars daily I can usually be of some help in giving advise when a problem comes up.
