Now

How about a "cold test" !!!

Some things are better left unsaid, which I generally realize right after I have said them.

We are under a blizzard warning in my area, supposed to get 10+ inches tonight into tomorrow. Won't be out on the roads testing ours unless we have to though. These people drive crappy enough in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia even without snow to help them.
Already went out today and picked up all the snow weekend essentials
hot dogs and chili
chips
sub sammich stuff
pizza rolls
tamales
wine

I guess we are ready.

Pretty much got all the food groups covered.
Seeing as how you got chili tamales etc.(and no doubt 2qts of Franks) don't forget to put at least 3 rolls of TP in the freezer.

Planning is everything.

10 inches that's getting there for us but not anything to knock off the daily routine! Except schools will call it off around 7" mark. FYI you get north of 10" most cars won't like that. A couple of years ago we had an 17" with 4.5 drifts. The wifes' 4x4 Silverado walked through it like it was nothing!

The schools here have closed with a half inch. Not even kidding.

We don't get much snow around here as you can tell. The last time it snowed a decent amount, about 2 years ago I think, my 2002 Sierra 4x2 extended cab truck got stuck on the street right outside the house. I got three 60lb bags of sand in the back this time. Hopefully it will help.

Here is a shot of our Impala a few minutes ago at 1:40AM
Just about 15 more hours to go till this crap goes out to sea...

I lied, I took it out to fill it up at Wawa before it got worse. Picked up a nice 10" roast beef sub for my troubles while I was there too.

Lower your rear tire pressure (truck to 30-32 to get the tread down flat as possible. We usually run 35-38 PSI in most of our vehicles when the weather is nice up here April-mid December and bring them down.

My new Generals on the Impala ran great on the last 8" storm we had about 3 weeks ago. Now we have no snow cover at all!

As usual the hype machine was in full force. It wasn't really bad at all, no way as bad as they were calling for. The state declared a state of emergency, a blizzard warning and even Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel showed up down at the beach.
Here is the total we got as measured on the back of my truck's tonneau a little while before the snow finally ended. Keep in mind that measurement was about 14 hours after the big blizzard of 2017 in Hampton Roads Virginia started...

Schools are closed till Tuesday in my city and till Wednesday in other cities.

You have more snow than I do! Just a dusting last night. I used the leaf blower to clean to the walks.

Yep. The official word for our city was 6 inches however. It's supposed to be 47 degrees today but I wouldn't be surprised if they come back out today and delay or close stuff again for Wednesday.
