Had something similar happen to our 01 Caddy. Usually the drivers side fails first simply because it is used more.

As I recall, the issue was either a relay or the heating element itself. I cannot tell you which, because I had both replaced and it works flawlessly. So, for you, it is either the relay or the element. The element is way more expensive, the relay is pretty cheap. I would try the relay (located under the seat I believe) first. You can do that yourself - pretty accessible. If that does not work, then change the heating element, which is, of course, more work. I had somebody do it for me, so unfortuneately, I cannot tell you exactly how to do it.

Keep us posted and good luck! IF you do need the element, a lot of hole in the wall trim shops can do it for cheap (LABOR). The part itself IS very pricey, but you can save there on the install. Also, a trim shop can sometimes simply move the working passenger element over to the drivers side - that way you are warm, but passenger is cold. Again, passenger side usually lasts longer because it is used less. Initially, I thought about moving a back seat heater element to the drivers seat, but decided to just do it right and get a new one.
