Headlight Issue on 2000 Impala
I have a 2000 Chevy Impala.
My headlights won't turn on. This all started a couple weeks ago when I couldn't get my high beams to shut off. So I replaced the multi function switch (high beams, blinker, cruise, and windshield whippers). That solved that problem and my head lights worked fine.
Then yesterday, I started my car and the headlights didn't turn on. The parking lights do go on, and the high beams will go on if I hold the multi function switch in the on position, but they also will not stay on.
I replaced the head lamp relay also and they won't go on.
The day time headlights work fine.
Any other ideas?

possibly shorting out so the car thinks the His were on, but not enough of a ground to actually turn them on....
I know you can run a jumper wire from the ground inside the light harness to turn all 4 lights on at once, and FWIW, the DRLs are the hibeam lights ;)
good to hear you got it fixed though, how much of a PITA was the repair?
