Hello, vwfye here...

I know... vwfye? Is he lost? Nope! I've always loved the 90s Caprice wagons and I now have one. 213k miles of white 1992 Shammu stockness! I've had it a week, already spent quality time with AAA for a failed fuel pump, replaced the dead rear hatch struts and ordered new rear shocks. I will order an Impala grill as the stock one is just to 'grandpa' for my liking. I am looking at ordering a set of 2" drop spindles for the front since I have to replace both front sets of bearings and I will leave the rear at stock height since I need to be able to tow some. Other than that, I'm also a flat 4 guy... VWs or Goldwings, if it is a flat 4 I have owned it or modified it

Anyhow, that's me in a nut(ty) shell

Okay... but, I will try to stay on the Caprice focus after this.

This one is now mid-engine, EFI and 190hp.

This one has air ride, 17" wheels and a bit of attitude.

This is the one that will spend time on the trailer and at the track and has a suprise under the lid.

FANTASTIC! Love it! The last one is my favorite. I haven't seen one of those in decades! It's like they all disappeared! Thanks for posting them!!

Me too! Love that last one. Did you see the recent "Pickers", where they were at a guy's house who had TONS of VWs in a field and TONS of parts?

Most of us don't hate on other cars - heck I am even Impala-less at the moment.

the purple one is a 1500, but most folks call them a Notchback. They were never officially sold in NA, but you could get one in Canada IF you knew what it was and ordered it.
I have been fortunate to own 6 of them over the years. 5 came out of France and 1 out of Canada. The pink car was also a Notchback, but it was trashed and became that topless, mid-engine car. The red one in the Caprice background pic is a 72 Notchback and in NA they are beyond rare. It needs a lot of work!
