Oh hey, what's up guys?

New Impala owner, sorta.

Have had my Impala for a few months now and have finally gotten to a point in life where I can start treating my car. I've noticed this looks like a good place to start learning the ins and outs of Impalafication.

I've an '01 Impala LS of the golden family. Not entirely sure what color it is Chevy classifies it as.

Only thing added are my two 12" subs in the trunk, but definitely looking to do more.

So, what's up?

I haven't had a good time to take pics.
I'm usually working before the sun comes up until after it goes down, and on my days off, conveniently enough, the weather is pretty crappy. :(

Welcome to the forum! There's a few goldies around here, but alot of mods are color-blind so to speak.

What exactly do you mean color blind?

Like some mods look good with certain colors, others not so much. Some you can do on most if not all colors. Like black tint.

Oh, I understand now.

The tint was something I was actually wanting to do, but I wasn't going to do to dark 'cause I don't want them to draw too much attention upwards. In order to even out the attention to the car, I was going to do a light tint and then do a light black chrome on my rims.

Sounds good. I have 35% on mine. Check out my albums, it's perfect IMO.

18% is the lowest legal tint I can get. That is what I plan to get. 35% is to light for me IMO.

I think the 35% would be perfect for what I'm wanting to do.

Now I just gotta see if there is a way to darken my rims rather than having to buy a whole new set.

Not wanting a flat look.

A shop will have to do that I think if you want the black chrome look.
