So today my wife and I went to a local used car lot and test drove 2 vehicles. Before,I was about to purchase an suv,the dealer pulled out of the garage in a 2009 impala ltz. Long story short,I told them I was interested in the impala and to my surprise it was 1000 dollars cheaper than the suv!.It's black with after market chrome rims, and already had duel exhaust on it like I liked and would have added if no so equipped. It has a deep rumble and not raspy as far as a v-6 goes,I'm not sure what mufflers are on it but sounds great. It's loaded with leather on star, and has the fog lights which look really cool at night. I have wanted an impala for a col years now and finally found one, fairly low miles at 79,000.

Damn it how did you get leather onstar? Ours is just the standard plastic.

Only the LTZ model gets the leather OnStar. The LT gets the plastic OnStar. And lower models get cardboard.

The new guy forgets one comma, and jeez. :nerd :)

Welcome! I would also love to see some pictures. I had a 2009 super sport and now my son has a 2014 LTZ limited. I really like the platform.

Also just an FYI, all eighth generation LTZ models, like yours, came with the dual exhaust. So, it might not be an aftermarket system that is on the car.

What do you mean by turbos? I'm confused :/

I will agree with you, whatever Chevy did to the stock exhaust on the 3.9 and 3.6 is incredible (I have no real experience with the 3.5). Imo they sound fantastic stock, especially upon startup... Very throaty and rumbly.

Thanks for having a sense of humor

And yea post some pics up, of the Onstar or even the whole car. ;)

What i mean by turbo is I think thrush or someone makes what's called turbo mufflers, they are just cheap well sounding mufflers but are prone to rusting, these mufflers are definitely not stock it's pretty loud but sounds awesome with little drone or cabin noise.

Looks like you got it to work! Sweet!

That's a sweet looking ride. Now we can officially welcome you lol.

Are you planning on doing anything to your car?

@Bcb577 - FYI - I edited your original post and put the URL inside img and /img "flags" - this way the image shows up without having to click on a link to the external site. Just an FYI for the future! I also removed the second post that had a link that didn't work.

Oh - and by the way, NICE Impala! :)

Those are all great ideas. I'm jealous lol. I'd be doing a lot more to my car, things you just suggested, if I had more money lol! Maybe I'll start throwing (more) money at it when it's fully paid off next year :D

There are plenty of great threads on the forum with all kinds of suggestions of things to do with your car if you were interested! I'm pretty sure you can just ask for suggestions too lol.

Anyway, beautiful car and good luck with your mods!
