Just sayin whats up to the vet forum members!

I understand forum communities love pictures to go along with projects; ill be able to help supply you guys with plenty.

Im a young college student. Recently bought my first car which is a 1971 impala 4 door about two weeks ago. Cost me two grand (I dont even have my License yet, but I couldn't pass up on a good looking car). :ok3:

I was told it has about 106k miles on it. 400 Small Block.

Pro's:
Interior is almost flawless
Runs and drives just fine

Cons:
Trunk and seals need attention, water leaks into the trunk.
Needs a battery or alternator I believe. The car has a "weak" start up and when i shift into drive or reverse it cuts off sometimes.
Has a slightly rought idol.
Emergency break does not get pushed in, when i push it it raises slowly back up :dunno:
In picture 6, the "spacer" touching the window is starting to fall off.

Its a work in progress. Thanks for looking you guys. All feedback is welcome.

I need a little help in determining a fair value for a 1962 Impala. The car I am interested in was my fathers car that he sold in the late 80's and I now have an opportunity to buy it back. I would say that it is in fair condition at best. It has a lot of surface rust, some more significant rust at the base of the front quarter panels and the floor boards are rusted through. There are some dents on the body, but nothing too bad. It isn't currently running, but I am told that it just needs belts, a new battery and fresh gas. It is a 2 dr hard top with the 283 and 3 on the tree.... the current owner added an after market AC. They had the motor bored 30 over and balanced and blueprinted at some time in the past. And they were using it as a daily driver about 6 years ago.
