water leak from home link area

I have a water leak from the home link area (garage door opener) on my 2006 Impala:gaah:.....water comes streaming down. Any ideas on why and how to fix...Thanks

Not new to forums but new to this one. Sold my 97 maxima and bought a 03 Impala. Decided it was the way to go for the roomy interior for my kids plus the fold down rear seat for my audio build. Im a MECA competitor, driveway/backyard installer,enclosure builder, and all around diy guy.

Bought my new car off ebay and unbeknownst to me it has the bcm/passkey/ whatever you want to call it issue with non functonng electronic door lock/keypad and non-working A/C. Trying a few things to work past all this and start on making it my own. Tint, new windshield since this one has a nasty crack, new oem style headlight converted over to hids and a passlock bypass and 2-way pager style remote start/alarm.

Most of my equipment is already to go for the car. A few things still have to be purchased yet. As of know ill be running my pair of Addictive audio The Fix 500.1s (over 6000 rms each) on either a single 15 or a pair. Electric consists of a DC Power Engineering 275xp alternator, numerous runs of 1/0 wire and a total of 8 capacitor banks( 48 2.5v caps series wired in sets of 6) Charged to 15 volts. Hi all, name's TJ. I have a 2003 Chevrolet Impala Ls (Silver Bullet) with a 3800. I was looking for this car for awhile and just happen to stumble across one when I was looking at a Buick for my mother up in Michigan.

My name is Joshua and I just bought my first Impala; it's a 2012 LTZ. I love it! Such an upgrade from the 2009 Malibu LS I traded in towards it.

I'm really interested in getting some performance mods done. So far I've only revamped the audio system and a few odds/ends for chrome accessories.

I joined this forum to learn as much as I can from other impala owners.

Hello everyone... I recently purchased a 2013 Impala LT, complete with the 300hp 3.6ltr V6 and am loving it. Doubling the power of my most recent (and practically deceased) car and furthermore returning to the level of power I previously had in my Silverado, is very fulfilling.

I've only added a few accessories so far to enhance the interior functionality:
� iOttie Easy One-Touch windshield cradle for my iPhone 4S
� Nifty Lund Catch-It custom fit floor mats
� Orvis 56" microfiber quilted backseat protector (for the dogs)

I am looking to add the following and welcome any suggestions/recommendations:
� front push bar (similar to law enforcement vehicles)
� driver side articulating patrol light (similar to law enforcement vehicles)

Hi Everyone , I am 74 years old and just acquired a 1963
Chevy Impala that needs a lot of help and I need a lot of information and help myself . The car came with a 383
motor , dismantled of course .The heads are in the floor board , the block in the trunk , the pistons in a cardboard
box in the trunk , along with the valve stems . I am looking to put a LS1 engine and a 4L60E transmission back into the car , if I can get them for the right price . I am also considering an old 350 engine and 350 trans as
well with other components , such as complete exhaust system . I overhauled an 56 Olds engine 50 years ago , but can no longer roll around on the concrete . I am disabled and in a wheel chair , so I need to get the work done as cheap as possible , like everyone else money is tight . ANY ADVICE AND INFORMATION WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED .Thanks

I went away for a lil bit but I'm out and even got a new toy.

Finally just got the impala fixed after a couple weeks of issues. Long story short the main wiring harness frayed by the exhaust and was causing all types of problems. So a new throttle body, fuel pedal, ECM, wiring harness and a couple grand later the impala is running again.

In the mean time the weather was so nice I went and bought a bike to mess around on 06 zx6r with some special edition goodies. Attachment 18698

Will all the repairs to the impala, paying it off, buying a bike, and other bullcrap all cash out of pocket funds ran too low to get another car hopefully by winter or next spring ill be able to get something else.

Feels good to be free and back again!

Hello Everyone, I've been looking for a Caprice/Impala based forum for a while, I like the looks of this one. I am 17, live in oregon, currently have an 86 OSP unmarked Caprice and a 94 CHP Caprice, but will eventually inherit my dads mass collection of probably 40+ Caprices. He has almost one of every year from 80-96, and around 20 or more CHP Caprices (including the last equipped 95 CHP caprice, hence the username).

He used to buy, refurbish, and sell 9c1 Caprices, but the crown vics became easier to get (have just as many crown vics too).
A few of our cars have interesting stories, some I don't have a clue about, might post up some in the future.

Right now I am working on getting my 86 back to inservice condition. Have a pretty good idea of the equipment that went on, and the car itself doesn't need a whole lot of work. Going to repaint it back to the factory Charcoal grey metallic this summer, have to have the headliner redone along with the C pillar fabric, got a new dash pad for it, need a factory radio, some minor trim, and put all the equipment in. Going to try and have it done by August for an Oregon State Police event along with one of our 84 OSP Impalas.

We also have a 67 Impala SS327.

Hope regular cop car caprices are allowed here too:wink: (we'll be turning one 94 into an impala in the future :ok3: )

hi,
i bought this car for the motor, but... i wanted to decode the cowl tag and whatnot and make sure it wasn't something special (or to be more precise: worth more as a whole unit)

from the vin i know it's a 1961, 4dr, v8....

i ran the cowl tag through a decoder but it came up 61 2dr 8cyl sedan.

it has an automatic trans, and a 348 v-8 engine (unknown condition at this time)

Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself, my name is Mark and I currently live in Missouri, I am retired US Army and I just purchased my first impala and must say the car is quite impressive even though I didnt want to like it. I traded in my H3 due to rising gas prices and the salesman made me a deal I couldnt refuse on a left over 2012 impala. Not planning on going real crazy with the car as I have plenty of other projects but like anyone else I have to make it my own. So far all I have done is debadge the car, future plans include new wheels,(thinking 18in) window tint, chrome grill with out chevy emblem,and flowmaster exhaust. This car is mainly for my wife to drive so I dont see me doing much else to it but then again I always say that. My other projects are a 1994 s-10 with a twin turbo 350, a couple of custom harleys, and a tunnel rammed 1979 corvette.

Hello everyone!

I always had a thing for the Impala, even though I had pretty much been a "Ford Guy" for many, many years I've also owned other GM vehicles and Dodges. Long story short, the transmission in my truck started to die and I'm driving 100 miles a day for work, so I decided to buy a new car and I'm now the proud owner of a 2011 Impala, even though it's an LS and GM was extremely cheap (I ordered Impala and GM emblems online!) I love my car.

I think the only mods I planned to do to it was tint (for damn sure), exhaust (I like the sound of the Flowmaster Super 44) rims/wheels, and cold air intake, although I've heard the cold air intake does absolutely nothing for the 3.5 so I probably won't waste my money for that.

I've been snooping around the forum and think I'm really going to enjoy being a member of the community!

Just stopping by to check in and see what all is going on with the forum. I'm from south TX in the final stages of finishing up a 94 SS. Not my car but I have been lucky enough to take over and put tye finishing touches on this, and were changing a few things being aas the final vision for the car is a little different now. Anotherlocal built this car is his two car garage believe it or not.

It started as a 76k mile cruiser and then went off the deep end. Now its finally on the road and can't wait to crank it up. Some specs are.

STS rear mount kit custom fabbed with stainless

Car made 500 hp on 6psi for tye break in. Waiting now to put more fuel pump and crank it up

1st: Plastidipping bowties and chrome on grills.
2nd: Throwing the black 20in AR rims on.
3rd: Removed "GM", "Impala LS", & "Flex fuel" badge.
4rd: Blacked out the taillights.
Next... removing pin stripes, maybe paint pillars?
