Looks like you may have to go with a custom set-up.

Correct. You'll want to look around for mods for the Holden Statesman. Holden does some pretty insane stuff with their cars. You shouldn't have trouble finding the mods online. However, getting the parts might be difficult since Holden is out of Australia.

Americans don't want quality cars, they want cheap pretty cars.

seeing that its a Caprice and not a Holden, I'm thinking middle East

www.cartuning.ca makes a turbo kit for the FWD LS4 engine, I'm guessing your's is a Zeta paltfrom like the Holden... The holdens came w/ a blower (bathurst edition) but Im pretty sure its just the CTS-V drivetrain, and if your's is a 00, it would take some work to get it in there..

other than that, any LSx paltform stuff should work, however the piping is prob going to need to be custom, especially since the Holden stuff is LHD and i THINK yours is RHD, so the headers etc may not work right b/c of steering component location.

Check w/ the GTO guys, I know the 04 has a CSC kit that may work on that nicely, same w/ the turbo kits, they may fit w/ only slight modification....

Maybe the american went wrong somewhere along the road, at least when building cars. I´ve never lived in US, but I can read and I do see. And brand new cars only a year old seems to pour over the border to Mexico. Usually only a year old, and at a really great price. If that´s the way they counted when building (built?) cars, ofcourse there is no need to make improvement in quality. Not only americans went that way. My dad has driven Mercedes since mid-eighties and he has noted a steep decline in quality with them too. Worst were the early ninetees, they started to RUST within a year. Doors and fenders got HOLES!

I like the old american cars, reminds me of the way tractors were built, alot of steel, alot of overdimension. Just SOLID!
