hello,
just wondering, how are the imps with salt. thinking about buying from ohio and i see salt on the hold pad, and i believe the water pump and alternator may have some oxidation on the housings (they look white, pics arent the best). car ha s advertised 20000 miles.

first make sure its a real impala clones are many and if its been in salty driving cond its def at its least value...... also the 96's are harder tot une because of different wirind and main computers aso theres more sensors in tha exhaust .....

i bought my 1995 9c1 caprice for 1500 w 220000 on it so thats just a price quote also mine had NO RUST FROM ARIZONA !!!!!

i got mine for 10k in perfect cond, with 60k on the clock all records and wx3.

check for the wx3 code on the trunk. they can fake that you can do a vin look up but my impala comes back as a caprice/impala ss. so that wont help too much


you can always look @ the rims, seats, floor shifter, cluster dash( the part will say impala ss) the vin and wx3( stated above)

also i think all impala ss come with the keyless entry, so even if they give you only a key and no remote, in the trunk mounted n the back dash metal should be a box for the keyless entry

also 9c1's will have 2 front mounted oil/tran coolers irc, and the impala ss will only have one

thanks it has wx3. im just wondering if anybody knows of any rust issues? i do like that i think the car is what it is.

No undertarring was standard on the Impala SS. Most cars were
delivered with a fair amount of surface oxidation on the
undercarriage, rear axle, and suspension. Some users reported
oxidation in the engine compartment as well, on the dampener and
the heads where the meet the intake manifolds. This rust is not
much more than cosmetic and cleanable, but still a bummer.
