Gas up recently? My sister-in-law's
Check engine came on, turned out she didn't tighten gas cap.

Got OnStar? They can run a diagnostic.

P305f code. I did some reading and looks like a auto stop event. Read somewhere the secondary battery in the trunk needs to be replaced. Anyone run into this?

I've run into this on a couple of malibu's with auto stop. The AGM battery in the trunk usually fails testing and after replacing that battery all was well.

Well when I made the appointment I told them what code it was and the battery needs to be replaced. Sat in the waiting room for over a hour yesturday and they come out and say it had a loose battery cable. I called bullshit so they came back a half hour later and said they have to order a new battery. Should be in soon so I hope that was it.

Should have gotten an 8th Gen. Would have been cheaper and no check engine light. Hope you get the issue sorted out.

Yea, just think you could have gotten an 8th gen, stuck some gaudy chrome pillars on it, put a bigger battery in it and some other trinkets and try to claim it's an SS

Actually I think you made a better decision on getting a newer one. Keep us updated on how your problem turns out.

It picks up nice and fast like an SS, and I'm pretty sure if I pulled up to your 9th gen, I would leave you eating dust, long before your 300 horses kicked in.

It's actually 305 horses sir.

We didn't buy our car to race but I have no doubts in my mind that our family car would outrun your fake SS to the grocery store though. .
It's gonna take a lot more than a bigger battery, a different air cleaner, gaudy chrome pillars, a muffler change, a tune and some bogus SS badges to impress me sir.
