Parts on the way!

looking forward to getting in the garage next weekend,, furnace on,, installing a few parts. Wind chill currently 14f.

First is the bumper cover plate,, to cover us some first owner scars. QAA Fits-CHEVROLET IMPALA 2014-2016Rear Bumper Trim Accent RB54135 | eBay

Also considering these stripes,, and then weather or not to blacken out the front sections,, See pics for with/without

I would want to leave a V section on both upper and lower grilles with chrome,, and Black out bowtie gold,, but leave Chrome around bowtie. Floating bowtie effect.

Not too fond of the black stripes on a big family sedan but to be honest they don't look real bad.
What do you mean by "I would want to leave a V section on both upper and lower grilles with chrome"?
The grille would look ok all black but then it would just look like an LS. I think a better look would be the Impala midnight edition grille.

I tried in paint to show, on pic with my son in it, but imagine only the sides going down from the hood next to headlight,,, then across the bottom of grille, and back up other headlight. Top and middle bars only blacked out.
Plus bottom chrome piece under DRL's.

Both of the mock-ups you did look good. I pretty sure the chrome bars on the grille are removable but the ones for the DRLs will need to be painted. The hood stripes look nice, however, if you are going to dip it it will look like crap, in that case leave it alone.

Looks good to me! They don't look out of place. I was contemplating doing a chrome or more subtle silver the same style.

Heck still adding tasteful goodies to my wife's Silverado, so my car does not get much as far extras. I will be ordering the chrome skins this week since we are almost done with winter.

ok didn't know on the center grille bars,,, good to know. Former 20+ year autobody repair guy here,,, I like things mostly stock,, and if you gonna do things, to dress up a car,, to me they should look like the General himself did them, or at least like what Yenko did, or Berger did. So seeing how I'm not gonna pull the motor and put v8 beast in it's place,,, I thought I go for a Impala SS style, that could maybe pass as a option. Like the Midnight edition.
So the stripes I ordered, are Gloss black instead of matte. so I would remove middle bars,, and paint grilles to resemble the look on bottom pic above, including the lower drl portion that is not light. then possibly remove IMPALA letters on side, and replace with small factory style SS emblems. or remove the V6 and LTZ on the back, and put 1 SS emblem there instead.

This is the wife's daily driver and she don't care too much what I do. Just don't go overboard she said,

Don't put SS emblems on it, it would look cheeseball and not to mention be an insult to the real SS models.

To each their own I say. Not feeling it personally. BUT if you put a SS badge on that car I will personally come down and kick you in the nuts for doing that. All in fun of course!
