Trunk Molding

Ok, so here is a question for anyone interested. I purchased a pulled piece of trunk molding for my Black 2015, got it seriously cheap $25. I was thinking of three things to do with it. One would be to spray the letters to match the car color, two would be to spray the molding and leave the lettering chromed, and third and least likely would be to take a dremel cut off the letters and try to make some sort of illuminating piece. I say least likely because I would need to then seal the letters with some sort of backing plastic to keep water out. Those were my ideas, do you have a different one? Which would you all think was the best route to go?

PS. When I say car color I mean automotive paint and clear not plasti-dip (this goes double for you juleshaw :P).

Here is a picture of a mock-up with electric tape (It's what I had, lol)

Interested to see how it turns out. I was thinking chrome with black letters to kinda match the bowtie (chrome surround with black inside) and tried mocking up a pic of my Impala rear end in paint.net at work but I didn't do a great job. Black with chrome letters would probably look good too.
And thank you for not crapifying your car up with plasti dip. It's a Chevy Impala not a Honda Civic.

Ok, I have decided that the black lettering on chrome was nearly unrecognizable, so I took it to the auto body shop. The owner is a great guy and always honest with me and said it would not be worth his time or my money to paint it because of all the small details and sanding the fake chrome off. He suggested vinyl wrap, which had never crossed my mind, so I headed down to my local customization shop who has done quite a few things for me, also great guys. He wrapped it and did his very best on cutting out all the letters, couple tiny little mistakes but barely recognizable. It will be going on along with my new black emblems and a newly purchased off ebay, black body molding (midnight edition) front grille in a few weeks once the weather clears up.

Can't wait to see what it looks like on the back of your car. I think with your tinted taillights and chrome and black bowtie, it will look perfect back there.

Unfortunately it seems like it will be at least a few weeks before anything is done as right now my car is surrounded by a few feet of snow. Once the weather turns I will get all the new goodies installed and pics will follow.

PS. Anyone interested in the black surround grille I purchased one on ebay for an amazing $185. I am still waiting on mine to be delivered because of the storm we just had but here is the link if interested. They still have 5 left. i think you went the correct route. the chrome letters on the black background look pretty classy and like something that would have come from the factory. i just don't understand all the fake chrome they put on cars anymore...
