Losing presets

As the title states. I am losing presets on the information center. B trip, battery voltage and trans temp IIRC.
I have to go back in and recheck the boxes for these, but every two weeks or so it just goes back to what the car was delivered with, like a default.

Not critical to operations, but annoying!

I bought. New 2014 Impala 2LTZ and had numerous problems with the My Touch and DIC systems. The dealer reprogrammed it several times, then did a "full update" after Chevrolet Technical Assistance told him there was a new full update to correct numerous problems. One of the problems I had was the oil life monitor would randomly reset to 100% and the radio would suddenly mute.

The final "full update" (which the dealer said could take up to two hours to download) solved all the problems. You may want a to talk to your dealer and see if there are updates.

It was clear Chevrolet released the 2014 Impala with numerous bugs and defects - and they knew it.

Good luck.

I had this problem with my 2014 2LTZ, as well, and there *is* a fix for it. I can't find a TSB number for it, but when I told my dealer that there was a fix out there, they had no trouble finding it and performing the update. I've been solid since. The settings stay just where I left 'em.

Sorry about the double post - it occurred to me to check my my "car file" to see what they wrote on the invoice. (My dealer is Leggat in Burlington, Ontario - they're excellent).

Nothing revealing, except that they checked the electrical contacts first. Then followed up on what I said and recognized that there was more recent firmware available for the instrument cluster, so they performed the update. Apparently, this necessitated recalibrating the front camera, so I'm not sure how many subsystems are tied together by whatever controls the DIC. I didn't pay attention to these details originally, as it was all under warranty. All of this was performed in April of last year, so there might be even newer firmware available now. Either way, it's been bulletproof since the update.

CarMax is the Wal-Mart of car dealers.

While I never had DIC Info pages go missing, I have had radio presets disappear. Dealer updated the radio free of charge at my last oil change, haven't seen anything disappear since.
