Is the backup screen always green now or did it just do that once?
I do seem to remember someone else mentioning this issue before. Not sure if there was an update to fix it or what though. Try doing some searches on the forum to see what that person found.
That happened to me like once, maybe twice over the course of like 2 years. Shifting back to drive (or anything other than R) and back to R fixed it. Since it wasn't easily to duplicate, I didn't even bother to talk to my dealer about it.
I had heard about this issue before, but I don't think I have ever seen a picture. Thanks for posting the picture. My in-laws reported an issue like that with their 2014 LTZ. But, it was one of those things that never repeated itself. At the time, I assumed maybe they were not fully engaged with the gear shift selector in reverse.
I will get a black screen like that but it only happens if I turn the ignition and don't wait and shift immediately in reverse. Basically when I am rushing.
Update: I took my vehicle in for service for this issue and other radio concerns. The plan was they were going to update Mylink which is what I wanted but somehow the update was botched so they are getting me a new radio. Geesh, totally did not expect this to happen. On the plus side so far GM seems to be standing by the product, will update with any new info.
I think the camera is plenty clear. Clear enough I can see the cracks and contraction joints in my driveway fine. Let alone any objects behind me. not sure how much more you need for a backup camera.
Mine has been fixed. They changed the camera, also other issues. Works, could be much better.
