Vibration and not a good one

I'm a mother of two teenage children. I saved long and hard for what
I thought was my dream car, but it has turned into a nightmare. It has brought me to tears at times.
It's been in 4 times already, the last time they did nothing.

I thought it was just me, but I began to feel a vibration in the steering wheel while stopped at a light. The other day I was stopped again, this time even my
seat began to vibrate.

I started reading threads from page 27. I found on page 24(4-19-14), people complaining about the same thing. Also on page 17 (9-26-14) more complaints.

That almost 2 years ago!!!!

My questions are:
Are there anyone presently experiencing this problem?
Has anyone gotten resolution for this problem?
Am I wasting my time bringing this to the dealership?

I don't have a 9th gen Impala but I've have had 2 cars, including my current 8th gen Impala with shaking in the steering wheel. Both cars the vibrating shake was fixed with new front brakes because the brake rotors were warped.

^^DIfferent kind of shaking. They are getting vibrations in the wheel (and seat) at idle - not when braking, so it's not related to the rotors in any way.

mine does it occasionally at stop.
its not enough fro me to give a ##!% about.
The car crushes the older model in every possible way.
I can live with a bit of vibe.

Mine does it too. Been through it all with my dealer and Chevrolet field engineers. My service manager agrees there's an issue. It has been at the dealer 3 times for this issue totaling over 33 days, they tried everything. Field engineer came down, stamped the paper "operating normally" & basically telling me to F myself. Chevy said they won't do anything because the field engineer said operating normally. I told Chevy that it's BS, it's not an issue that comes and goes, it's obvious. I went to the owner of the dealership who agrees with me and the service manager and he's fighting up the ladder, I will keep you informed. Field engineer is a company man bozo that obviously has no idea how to fix the issue so rather than accept responsibility, they pass it off as I'm crazy and shaking is normal

Year, make, model, mileage and engine type would be helpful.

I would try two back-to back fuel fill-up tankfuls with Techron Fuel System Cleaner PLUS (follow the directions on the bottle). O'Reiley Auto Parts has the cleaner on sale through 3/31/2016 as buy one - get one free. Buy the 20 oz. size.

I own a 2014 Impala 2LTZ - purchased new. I add the cleaner to the fuel tank after every oil change. The car idles so smooth in drive that the car feels as though the engine is not running.

What model of the Impala and what Engine this is happening with? I have a 2014 1LT with the 2.5L I4 and it never does this. I currently have 28k miles on it.

One other question, to the folks having this problem, do you guys ever floor the car, or does it just get driven like a grandma car? About twice a week when getting on the turnpike I put mine to the floor and "clean it out" a little. Thing runs like a champ.

2015 Chevy Impala LTZ 4,300 miles V6 engine

Car's steering wheel will start to shake after a sittin
g waiting for a long light to change...rpm drops around 500 and engine feels like it's stumbling. Last time
it happened , it shook my driver's seat too....but it doesnt always happen- like

I found a thread on p7 (10-07-2015) called 2015 LTZ Vibration and it contains
4 pages of replies.

Including that Cadillac had the same problem with V6 and fixed with a new
bladder style engine mount....what is Chevy waiting on..this problem was brought to attention in 2014....2 years ago!!!!

This will be the fifth time for something, another rental, and to be probably told its
normal to do that..(as I read who were told this by dealers when they brought it
in)....Basically Chevy is saying F you as someome pointed out earlier.

And yes, my car's rear deck bows too...that's was one of three things to be fixed
on a prior service visit. And was told there wasnt anything they could do? Huh?

I gave a loud earful in the customer waiting about so called Chevy warranty that
salesperson came by.....And the salesperson said," maybe you should trade
it for a 2016 model....I said, lucky I'm a lady, otherwise I'd wipe that smile off your face!" Wish I would have found this forum before I bought this car. Seeing
how Chevy treats customers and their problem, I would have NEVER bought this car!

1st off, a new car with 4300 miles should not need any fuel treatment or wide open throttle runs down the freeway to run properly.

Sadly, I doubt that you will get any of this fixed, nobody has been able to get Chevrolet to even acknowledge the problems, and I have not seen anybody actually get an engine vibration issue or a sagging rear deck fixed on a 2014, 2015, 2016 Impala.

Chevrolet Customer Service has been on these threads a couple of times and is aware of the complaints but appear to be Asleep At The Wheel !! as far as actually getting one fixed for either issue. Chevrolet Customer Service is still operating as if it were still 1985 ! (The Old GM is still alive and well !) Chevrolet also thinks that Cadillac owners deserve more attention than Chevrolet owners do, that is why the fix for Cadillac and not Chevrolet as far as the Motor Mounts.

Chevrolet will be sadly mistaken when I buy my next car. Nothing but lip service on Rear Deck Sag, numerous MyLink issues, Engine Vibration issues, all unresolved, I will not forget this when I am looking at my next purchase.

db1111,
Don't waste your time going to the dealer, been there six times for same issue your having.
As with everyone else, field rep, engineers all acknowledged problem but no cure. Either GM goes not have anyone smart enough, cost to much money, or just plain don't give a shit about there vibrating Cars. You might try 91 octane fuel and putting your telescoping steering wheel to the lowest setting, seems to help a bit.

I always see the V6 versions complaining about this issue. I have the problem as well myself. Put it in park and rev to 1500 rpm holding it. It will shake like a boss and that is the exact shake I feel at take off every time as well. Do, you also notice cold starts. You can feel the whole engine shake being in the cabin? You can see it as well popping the hood and having someone start it. A fellow member pointed out the 1500 rpm test. I wanted to be in denial and not have this issue on a new car. But, when I done that test. I certainly have the problem. I have read other members not having this issue with their V6. I believe them. But, as for us. We got the short end of the stick during production I think. Something happened and they still got through.

I have seen and read enough complaints online about this. Not sure why Chevrolet is not acting on this to address it. I can also say with 100% certainty. This shaking did not happen when we bought it brand new. It started to develop over time and really showed itself at around 4-5k miles.
