I have a 2007 impala that we just got. It was a demo car. Anyway, I went looking for the wiring harness, mounting kit and antenna adapter for the Kenwood stereo that I have so that I can access my sirius subscription. The local dealer hits me with a $178 harness. I googled and found one that was titled 2006 - 2007 impala harness for $19.99..but the description said that it was compatable with 2006 impalas without bose or onstar. I have neither and was wondering if I can use this harness to hook my deck up. I also read that I would loose turn signal clicks and warning chimes. I could stand to loose those for saving some money.

Anyone with any experience?

i also was in the same delema you pretty much have to get the expensive wire harnest because i thought i could aslo get away with usig the cheep one but the head unit ends up getting power to it but doesn't have anything functioning. and the chmer that u end up getting with the wire harnest is mad load so i would suggest putting duct tape or some heavy paper to lessen the noise.

Follow up. I ordered the harness before this post was replied to and I am glad that I did instead of deciding not to. It works beautifully. I can't hear the turn signal clicks or annoying warning beeper but oh well. Shipping and everything I got this harness for under $21. Tomorrow on to the local store for the mounting kit and antenna adapter.
