Wierd Clicking Noise - right dash area

I have a 2009 SS with about 55K miles on it. Started having a strange clicking noise from the right dash area (behind glove box) each time I shut off the ignition. Sounds like a relay of some sort, but it is quite loud.
Has anyone run into this problem? Not setting any codes.

The search function here is your friend. Try it out. And welcome!

The exact problem you describe has been discussed in detail multiple times here. It is your blend door actuator. Needs to be replaced. Part of climate control system. Many folks have done it themself and say it's not hard. Search and you will find a "how to" thread........I think.......

quick! its a ticking time bomb! haha. it was a PITA to change it for me... My hands were too big so i unplugged it and the vents are stuck in air circulation. no more open vent for me for now. I also purchased the ACDELCO brand. I heard its not good... but dealership charged me 65 while autozone charged me 35.. Goodluck to you and I hope you take care of that noise.

My 2011 Impala clicks even when the key is. It in the ignition. It clicks for one minute and it is done. It clicks when you turn the ignition and it is done after one minute. Does this have to do with the AC or is this different from the other threads I have read on this forum? How much would this cost at a dealership? From the YouTube videos I've watched my hand are not nimble enough to get at the bolts to take off the actuator. If that is what my clicking issue is.

My '07 is doing the same thing. What I'm wondering is are all the actuators the same part #?

IIRC, no, they're not. I *think* the three actuators on the passenger side are the same, and the one on the drivers side is different. In my case, the one on the drivers side gave up the ghost. Not really a job that's easy to photograph while doing it. But to the other end, you won't be able to see, even if you did have pics.

I let mine go for as long as I could, but it just kept getting worse. Initially, I could find a setting for the HVAC that would silence it, but eventually the next tooth broke off the plastic gear and then it was just an all-out knock-fest.

I didn't think it was a particularly difficult repair, just kind of a pain to get to and fumble through.

Guess & GO!
