Tips/Advice for Custom 2008 SS Modding
Hello everyone,
I am looking to do some custom work on my 2008 SS. What sites are your most commonly used to purchase? I am looking at magnaflow exhaust, diablo chip, headers, and some cosmetic enhancements too. I have found all of these parts on multiple sites, just wondering for one if there is a favorite site so to speak. Two, what type of recommendations do you guys recommend. I am looking to increase performance in general, money is not the top priority, more looking for tips/best practices/success stories. 5.3 V8, with 53 K, 2008. Thanks in advance! |

I'm guessing/hoping that's gonna put me right at about 450.
There's a cuple of guys that have done tranny upgrades, I haven't looked into it to much yet, but I'm gonna look around and see what everyones running and go from there. __________________ Quote:

That is around what I was going to guess.I am looking for similar results around the 400-450 range. Previous comment about diablo tuner not working to opt for PCM tune instead. Is this advice pertaining to all chips for the SS, I would imagine that a chip would boost performance, question would be how much. I have read testimonies on sites claiming the diablo in particular works. Just wondering if anyone is currently using one or similar...

I can't think of anyone I know using one.
Hop onto GMLS4.com, they have a lot more info about our cars than most people. __________________ Quote:
