8th Gen Black headlight housing
Hi All - looking through the forums, i've come across a couple posts where people purchased aftermarket headlight housing with Halo's. I'm not a huge fan but i'm looking for something different for my black LTZ. Just curious if anyone here has purchased these or something like it. If so, any reviews?

I bought a set of those but now after a year one has some condensation in it. I was pressurewashing it on a hot day and noticed it in there after. It did seem to clear after a week or so. Also there seems to be some kind of film on the inside of the lense that is breaking down a bit on the highest part of both sides. Like a clear coat pealing but it's on the inside. So I really like the way they look but am starting to wonder about long term. Worse case I can pull them apart with the oven method, polish the inside lens and reseal them better if it gets worse. You actually can only see the pealing coating if really looking.
They did fit perfectly and install quickly. |

I was looking into halo's/projectors for my impala ltz I really like the spyder sets Product List | 2006 Chev Impala they are a bit pricy but they are very reliable, a friend has had a set of ccfls on his truck for 2 years and has had no issues not sure if you just want the oem headlights with black housing or if you want halos.

I've got them on my SS and they look great but I have the same issue as Hersbird. I got condensation build up in them after a 3 day rain, but it evap'd out and hasn't done it again. I've had them for about 8 months and it did it once about 3 weeks ago.

Well knowing what you know and looking at these pictures, if and when you get them you could run a nice small bead of silicone around them, wait for em to dry and install them, should be no condensation then :)

Yeah man, like I said I think putting a nice thin bead of silicone around it before installing would prevent that condensation, I know they sell that kind of stiff at o'Reillys, next time I'm there ill look and let you know what its called
