RPO Codes...

Morning everyone,

I found a list of RPO codes that are year specific for the Impalas, but I got a list of codes that are not on the list and I was wondering if anyone could help me out and/or point me in the right direction. Here's the list of what I got that isn't on the list I found:

B8S
FFW
FLT
KCV
R6F
R9N
VN9
V2G
ZFH
1LT
1SZ
27U
6HM
7HM
8MZ
83C
9MZ

Thanks to any and all that can help,
Josh

Alot of these codes will denote nothing about your car, but are controlls the manufacturer uses for pricing, destination, origin, etc.

For instance, 9MZ is "SPRING COMPTR SELECT RR RH SUSP SUSP" which is basically a control they use for proper spring selection. Based on other inputs, theres must be a computer that selects what springs to use for that particular car.

8MZ is for RR LH spring selection

7HM is more suspension. COMPONENT FRT RH COMPUTER SEL SUSP (7HM) SUSP(7HM)

1LT I think is your option package... you can google Impala 1LT for that.

83C TRIM COMBINATION CLOTH, TITANIUM (83C)

Ooooh, that is a bigger list than the one I originally found. Thanks for the help. Now to see if I can finally find my paint color code. Basically the whole reason I'm looking up the RPO's.

Thanks,
Josh

B pillar, huh? Okies, guess I'll have to look at that when I get home then.
Now for the stupid question that's gonna make you all go "What!". The B pillar, where exactly is that? Is that the frame above the door next to the front windshield?

RPO code "27U" came back as Cobalt Red, so now I wanna find this other code and make sure it says the same thing.

Thanks,
Josh

Thats your A pillar.

A pillar is the pillar between the windshield and front door
B pillar is the pillar between the front and rear doors.

Some times they are in the trunk or pass side, but 90 percent of the time its on the drivers b pillar.

The same tag that shows stock tire size and tire pressure. and weight ratings etc.

Ahhh, sweet. Well, at least I was in the general location. The RPO's I found in the trunk, but didn't see anything else there. I'll have to look on the B pillar this afternoon then. Thanks for the info bud.

Thanks,
Josh
