3.5 antifreeze drain

Wanting to do a coolant flush on my Impala. I have the 3.5 engine. What I am asking is if there is a way to drain it without just taking off the lower radiator hose which makes it hard to catch and causes a little mess. Didnt know if there is a petcock on it Im not seeing or a better way of doing it. Any ideas or tips?

Petcock is on passenger side, sticks out the back of the radiator just above the rubber grommet at the bottom. It drains SLOW, so the hose is quicker if you can get to the clamp easy.

I want to do the same things on my 06 3.5, so how would i go about doing this? what are the steps or procedures in this? id rather do it myself instead of taking it to a mechanic if it is something that i can do easily myself.

Take the cap off, and open the petcock as mentioned above. When it stops draining, close it and fill.
