Misfire in cylinder 1

Hi everyone,new guy from NY here. I have a 06 Impala SS bought new, now with 77,000 miles mostly highway. Still with original brakes and tires but due for rear brakes and sneakers.

The check engine light came on today and the reading says misfire in #1 cylinder. Car is slugish from a start,and engine light flashes then stays on. Looks like its stuck in 8 cyl. mode and remote start doesn't seem to work. I know it probably could be a few things,has anybody had a similar problem? I'm going to bring it in,but I can't get it there until Wednesday. Will it be safe to drive for a couple of days about 200 miles?

I had some carbon build up on mine which was causing a misfire code. Your remote start won't work while your CEL is on.

Yeah thanks, I just pulled the plug today and it was shot.Replaced it and all is good now.
