Jet Perf. Mass Air Flow Sensor??

Has anyone ever used a Jet Performance Mass Air Flow sensor? I hear changing the mass air flow sensor really helps the HP but hurts the gas mileage even though the add states it increases the MPG. Any feed back is appreciated before I piss away $300 for nothing!

The money would be better spent on a handheld PCM tuner... You are looking at $400 to $500 but its probablly the most HP per dollar invested that you will find.

No Reponse..you Judge

I contacted Jet on the MAS Sensor from thier web site under "ask questions on this item" I mentioned that many forums had said that the MAS sensor they were selling did nothing. I asked if they could send me any dyno results indicating that this indeed work. Well one month later no response. Maybe someone else can ask the same question and see if you get a response. ....So judge for yourself......

Jet is not a terribly reputable company. Only good thing I know of the have is Tunercat for OBD2 LT1s, most of us were deeply disappointed when Tunercat sold out to them though.

Far as the MAF specifically, as Matt already covered MAFs generally do not need to be "upgraded". The aftermarket ones like this try and MISSREPORT airflow to trick the computer into running the engine differently. You want the computer to run the engine differently then TREPROGRAMMING it to do what is should is a vastly better idea than buying a sensor the lies to the pcm to manipulate the output.
