Oil inside wiring connector on oil pressure sensor?

Lately I started to get sporadic "low oil pressure" warnings on the dash. Sometimes when going slow, sometimes fast, but never consistent and as soon as I restart the engine it would go away. This led me to believe the oil pressure sensor was going bad.

Today I went to change it, and when I disconnected the wiring harness from the sensor itself, it was filled with oil. My question is, is there supposed to be oil inside of that electrical connector?

Turns out, they sold me the wrong part, so I hooked it back up and now I don't get any oil pressure warnings... but still wondering if there is supposed to be oil inside the wiring connector. Thanks!
