High beam problem.

I recently noticed the "high beam out" on the message center. Didn't think much about it. I just bought a new one. It didn't work when I replaced it. So I swapped drivers side and passenger side high beams to test it. It turns out the drivers side isn't getting power.
I've noticed also, the daytime running lights don't come on now. The full headlights come on instead. As if it's night.
I would assume there's some connection between the two issues. Anybody have any ideas?
2002 Impala 3800
Thanks

Goes without saying. Like I said, it seems to be causing the headlights to come on instead of the daytime running lights.

Turns out, condensation got in the headlight housing and corroded the main plug and socket. Easy fix once I tracked it down.
