what size is the stock exhaust pipe?

in the strait pipe section in the middle of the car that has the shield over it i have a hole on the top. i was wanting to just cut the pipe where the hole is and put a double female collar over it and weld it. but i was wondering what size the stock pipe is so i can get one tonight and is it the same size as the pipe going into the muffler? because i have a new muffler in my shop but haven't physically went under it and cut it off yet. thanks in advance

Haha I know that feeling, my stock downpipe cracked in the flex section while I was in the store one time. Came outside, started my car, and all of the sudden it sounded like open headers...turns out it basically was lol
