location of PCM/ Installation

any body have previous threads on were the PCM is located on a 2004 impala SS. i have heard that its in left side under air intake? is this correct maybe someone has DIY or image for me lol. i just want to start ripping things out, just got the car. WASTE OF TIME! but 1 last question while installing the only thing is to disconnect the NEG.

If you have the factory air intake its inside the air box.

1. Disconnect neg on battery
2. Remove the diagonal brace located above the air box
3. Disconnect the air intake box from the "hose" that runs to it.
4. Remove air box. there is a screw or two holding the two pieces together, you only need to take out the one side first (side closest to the engine)
5. Pull the airbox out.(if you still can't get the pcm out) There are push in fasteners on the bottom so pull up pretty hard.

reverse..also, are you changing the pcm or what? If so you need to do a security relearn

yes i just got one from 3800 performance. i heard sometime you have to do that but i have that printed out just in case i really appreciate it man! this is the best site i have ever found! everything about my car possible haha
