2005 hid drl

I have a 2005 base impala that i have installed a HID kit to. I have noticed that my hid's are running as my daytimes and i want to figure out how to switch it back to the high beams. I wanted to install a LED kit so i can just just use my HID's after dark. does anyone know how to get the DRL back to the high beams?

I have seen a lot of threads to disable to DRL but i just want them to go back to the High Beams so I can use them for the LED's..

Appreciate any feedback!!

this is the very question i would love answered, everyone says to disable the drls, thats not what i want.would some one please come forward
