SS Spoiler Install

Hey guys.

Havent been on in awhile. But ive since ordered and recieved a OEM Impala SS Spoiler for my Impala. Its got all the hardware and everything, and painted the right color. Upon setting it on the car just to look at it, i noticed 3 things.

1.The rear left badge "Impala" is in the way, but its double sided tape thats keeping it on there, so a hairdryer and some work will get that off no problem.

2. The inside of the trunk has that second layer of metal right where i need to drill through the trunk, its welded onto the pre-existing layer, so i'll need to drill about a half inch or so holes where the bolts need to go.

3. When sitting by itself on the trunk lid, it sits and stays at 2 different angles, but i dont know what the OEM measurements are for the angle/placement of the spoiler. So this is where anyone with a SS Impala could come in handy. Could they give me measurements from like the trunk edge thats closest to the rear window to the front edge of the spoiler? or perhaps from bottom trunk gap up to the center of the spoiler?

Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and heres a pic I took the other day. I got some more if you guys need them.

what you got?

I've got a LS spoiler for my 02 and was kind of scratching my head myself. I see where there is an opening where a hand can barely fit through but it seems that the back nuts on each side will be quite the chore to tighten up.

1.remove all emblems above the tail lights.

"Could they give me measurements...?"

(dimensions coming from factory installed on my 04' SS/measured with standard tape measure)
-rest spoiler on trunk
-1/4" offset from left and right of trunk edge
-from rear window at L+R corners of trunk(comes to a point) to corner of spoiler(part thats touching the trunk): 18 3/8"
-top of tail lights to bottom of spoiler: 1 1/4" (left corner of spoiler) - 1 1/2" (left corner of 3rd tail light)

Bolting It Up
picture shows all. bolt, washer, lug

Hope this helps

Looks good, nice job on the description. It doesn't help my cause but I'm not the creater of the thread so oh well. The biggest problem with this forum is the lack of finished threads.
Someone gets on here, posts a question and then you never hear from the author again. People try and help but most of the time no one can give a correct answer and by that time the creater is long gone anyway. It's got a bunch of questions but no real answers. This thread should be a sticky, lol.

Hey thanks for the requirements and sorry for the late answer. I got it installed about 2 weeks ago and it looks great. The measurements helped alot. I managed to get it on by using the t strips that came with the kit and using your measurements to fine tune it a little bit.

I got the left emblem off with fishing line, now i have with a extra impala emblem, I might put it on the driver side door where SS's have thier emblem, except above the molding. I dont know yet, just some rough ideas.
