Depends where the gage needle actually sits. If at the cold position yes check the fuse but I doubt that is the problem if all other gages are working. Most likely the sensor is bad or the wire from the sensor to the gage is bad. Sometimes it is the positive wire or ground at the gage and once in a while it is the gage itself.

Hi, yes it just sits on the cold position when i start the car it twiches only once but it doesn't go up and my local street mechanic said that it ist the sensor b/c i recently change it and since i dont have the fuse box covers im thinking that it might be a fuse but i dont know which one or it could be the wire as you stated.

First wire I would check is the wire from the sensor to the dash cluster. Many times this wire breaks, disconnect the wire from the sensor and using a DVM meter on the ohm (resistance) setting and see if the wire is shorted to the body of the car, or if it is broken (open circuit). Then I would check that the gage has power and that the ground wire is working. If not in the wiring then it is the gage is faulty. If you need more help just let me know.
