95 caprice won't stop overheating

Hey everybody. i got a 95 caprice 4.3. New water pump, thermostat, water pump sensor, engine temp sensor, and coolant cap. car still over heats. took out the thermostat, still over heats. all steam coming from the coolant cap. please help

I moved this to the 6th gen tech forum.

Does the car have the air dam in place?
Have you flushed the radiator AND cleaned the outside of it and the AC condensor?
Does the coolant flow? There is some chance of the waterpump drive being damaged and not turning the pump.
Does it overheat at speed on the road or just at low speeds and stopped?

Yes the car has an air dam, but the radiator has not been flushed. The condensor has not been cleaned.The coolant seems to flow, both hoses feel hard with fluid in them. It over heated while freeway driving and got worse at stop light until it started to knock and cut off.

Hard hoses just means pressure not flow.

The head gasket is letting some air out on one side, but its not leaking anything.

I thought without the thermostat in the flow would be automatic...

Head gaskets should not leak anything out.
What do you mean by "Air" do you mean "combustion/exhaust"?
How do you know it's leaking ?
Where can you see it ?

The engine makes a little noise when I. accelerate kinda like a moped, you can feel the pressure or exhaust/ combustion coming from the head. i had it sealed before, but it seem to have wore out.

I think you may be speaking of a leaky/cracked exhaust manifold.
This will not cause an overheating problem, just an annoying noise, but should be dealt with at some point.
The "miracle" fixes do not work and a new/replacement manifold is required.

You need to have the cooling system checked for products of combustion.
They take a sample of your coolant from the radiator and add a chemical to it and it will turn a specific color to indicate if products of combustion are leaking into it.
Removing the thermostat is not a real good idea. The coolant moves so fast through the system that it does not stay in the radiator long enough to the moving air to carry the heat away. Not knowing what the climate is where you are, if the ambient air is hot this situation will happen sooner.
Get the test done to eliminate the head gaskets as a possible issue.
The gaskets can leak "one way" so you may not see any signs of water in your oil, but, with the system pressuring like you said, it may be leaking exhaust into the cooling system.

Also
When you say you replaced the water pump, thermostat, etc etc,
If you filled the cooling system too quickly and did not bleed the air from it then you may have an air lock someplace and this too will cause overheating. Did you bleed the air from the system when you re-filled it are you having to add coolant ?

No i did. not bleed the cooling for air..not sure how to. ill put the thermostat back in and get the coolant checked. the water pump is mech. Ill have coolant checked tomorrow. thanks guys. i really dont want any other car in the world..I LOVE MY CAPRICE.

If something is clogged, you won't have flow, but you will still have pressure. First thing, make sure the front of the condenser is clean and free of debris, if the airflow is blocked you will have no cooling. If that's ok, try flushing the heater core, they are notorious for clogging on these. If that's ok, I would suspect the radiator is clogged.

Not common but the waterpump drive gears or drive shaft can strip which is why I asked if it had flow.

is urs a b4u caprice iirc they have both a mechanical clutch fan and a electric fan, if so replace the clutch on the mech fan
