Rear diff is the same minus posi on OPTION on Caprices. As for the $$$$$ watch ebay, specifically a seller by the title "inpursuit" from concord california. He gets alot for his clean untouched 9C1's.....more than comparable imps. There is a bigger market currently for clean 9C1 package than for imps. Long ago it was the opposite. A friend bought a clean 94 from ebay out of concorde for around $5000......for a 1994! When I finished with it, it was worth double that easy and sold for a very pretty premium. Lots of people have mixed views and opinions. I just go from what I know to be true. __________________ My name is Angel. I do not and have not claimed to know everything about these cars, but by seeing a great deal of these cars daily I can usually be of some help in giving advise when a problem comes up. Feel free to ask questions

a LOT of Impalas are listed way too high a price and don't move. People see those prices and don't realize the car just sits at that price.

i never thought it would bring the price of an ss, but it is a clean uncut/ never in police use 9c1. i'm beginning to see the collectors market for it, small as that may be. i don't think i'll sell it anyway. thanx for the heads up :) there is a 96ss on a dealer lot here. 11,500... 65k miles, been there for at least 6 months i kinda wonder if they have had any offers ![]() __________________ 95 9c1 (never in service) lt1, slp headers, borla exh, suncoast ramair hood and box, msd coil, programmed, grey carpet&leather two tone green with platinum grey bottom |

Not all cars are worth a premium, many factors are involved. A clean california car will bring in more than a east coast car because we do not have rust issues. Even cars listed as no rust back east, have some rust/scale which decreases the overall value.

Enjoying the conversation on the SS & 9c1
I do enjoy owning both vehicles.
Factory Black 96 9c1 Lt1 & Factory Black 95 Impala SS. Wrenching on my Lt1 Chevrolets the past 15 years. I hear that the 96 9c1 Lt1 had only around 10,000 made. While the 96 Impala SS had over 40,000 made. http://www.examiner.com/x-10974-Kans...-at-the-legend Probally many of these 96 9c1 patrol cars got destroyed while in service. I wonder how many are left in great shape like the 94-96 Impala SS in 2010? I know many club members who own a mint 94-96 Impala SS. http://www.lisst.com/Members/members.html Years ago, I was able to purchase Agreed Value Collector Car Insurance for the Impala SS. ![]() As we have known the past 15 years. Performance upgrades sold since the 90ties and installed for the SS will work with the 9c1 drivetrain. I still enjoy driving my daily driver of 12 years. You have a good view on things as well as a couple of nice cars. Maybe I will see them my next time there as the odds are now that I will be leaving and moving to the Albany area within the next year or less. __________________ My name is Angel.
