I have since made a few more changes and the 11.5 in my sig reflects that. The HOT cam is more than a decade outdated, the only reason to consider it is to keep the car 100% GM. The LT4 HOT package with the heads and cam is worth 425fwhp under PERFECT conditions. The Advancedinduction.com heads and cam can give you that number at the rear wheels, meaning a whole LOT more at the flywheels like 80hp or more. It takes a lot to get a car ready for engine mods though. Full exhaust sytem upgrade, CAI, tranny work, higher stall, gears etc.

If you want it to get good advice on heads and cams and be fast in the 1/4 mile then listen to Dwayne. He has a lot of experience and proven numbers.
Depends on your goals street or strip? "Full exhaust sytem upgrade, CAI, tranny work, higher stall, gears etc" those are your first basic upgrades.

Ok so starting from the motor is not the best way to go? Car has a K&N cai but thats about the only thing. Are edelbrock headers worth buying?

The ONLY positive thing about the Edelbrock headers is they are CARB certified and therefore will pass emissions inspection. Other than they they are pretty widely recognized as the WORST available header made for these cars.
Is inspection a concern? I will tell you right now, most of what Edelbrock offers for these motors is bad, the throttle body is about the only decent part and even then in 52mm I would go with a modified stocker, only buy aftermarket for 58mm. Their intake manifold has shown potential for a power LOSS, their catback doesn't fit and doesn't last, their shocks while not an engine part leak. That company is surviving on name and good parts they made for OLD engines when the OEMs left a lot of room for improvement. Things like Hypertech and JET modules are bad too, pretty much anything designed to trick the computer is bad too. Aftermarket MAFs are bad, granatelli being VERY bad. Point being ask questions of EXPERIENCED people and listen to the answer. You call up Summit/Comp/Jeg's and ask questions you will get bad info.

If visual inspection is NOT a concern I would check out www.focuztech.com
Probably go with 1 5/8" 4into1 headers for most cars. I have the 1 3/4" on my car now. I would also consider stainless over coating, yes it cost more upfront BUT it is permanent and coatings are NOT, at least not on a car that sees the seasons and miles mine does.
