Question Dash instrument panel warning lights?

On the Instrument panel I got Low Wiper Fluid,Change Oil,Pass Key Fault and the air bag lights on. The wiper fluid is filled to the brim, the oil does need to be changed (but once changed will it turn off?),don't know what the pass key fault means and don't know why the air bag light is on. Any help is appreciated,Thanx

u take the oil light off by turning the "KEY" on not the car and then push the gas pedal to the floor 3 times in like 5 seconds it will go away ,im pretty sure it comes on every 3000 miles

Ok, first things first...
Give us year, make, model.

Next, make sure that we have all the information, like does the car start and run ok?

Thanks.

Individual lights and their usual problems...

- PoPimpin already told you how to clear the oil change light. Many people forget to reset it when they change their oil. If you didn't change the oil recently, you should check it and probably change it.

- Low Wiper Fluid light when the tank is full is usually caused by a stuck float type sensor. You can try knocking on the tank with your hand to try to free it... just be careful because the plastic is getting old.

- Pass Key Fault and car starts means that the Pass Key function has been bypassed. (The light on means the Pass Key function is activated and should prevent the car from starting by disabling the starter and the fuel injectors.)

- Air Bag (SIR?) light on means a failure in the air bag system... often in the SIR connection in the steering column just under the steering wheel or the yellow wire that comes down the column.

My concern is that all these are on at the same time.
- Have you had the car a while?
- Did this just happen recently?
I would say that the ground(s) are suspect or possibly the PCM itself. Maybe someone with their wiring diagram handy could suggest a common failure point.

Any more details?

I've had it for about 2 weeks now from my brother in-law. He has had it for about a year with the warning lights like this on for a while. I think most of the lights came on when he disasembled the stereo system that he sold, probably messing some wires. I'll check on your suggestions and see what I could do. Thanx

LOL... the stories I could tell about people installing and uninstalling stereos who have no idea what they are doing and the damage they cause. I picked up such car for about $100, fixed the problem and damage they created in 1/2 half hour, and later resold the car for $800.

Check all the connections that he made and look for a ground on the sheetmetal that is either unconnected or has a terminal or lug on it that is missing a wire.

Again, anyone with their wiring diagram handy could help here.
