Question Vibration help???

Got another question this one has me stumped. I have a 95 impala with 150 thousand miles . Win you are driving down the road at a constant speed it shakes real bad. You can feel it in the seats but not in steering wheel. If you give it gas it stops , same win you let off the gas. I have already rotated the tires and pulled the drive shaft to check u-joints. Everything looks fine. Thanks for any ideas.

I would bet that your driveshaft is bent. Try disconnecting the driveshaft from the rear end, rotate the driveshaft 180 degrees and reconnect it and see if that solves your problem. If it doesn't, then you have either a bent driveshaft or bad U-joints.

You said you've checked your U-joints, but have you had your driveshaft checked at a shop for balance? It doesn't cost much, average price for a driveshaft balance is around $40-60.

Swap front and rear tires and see if problem is now felt in front wheels.
