Can I use parts from a 1980 chevy caprice on a 1979 caprice?

I have a 1979 chevy caprice classic and I tell you it's hard trying to find parts for it. In parts catalogs they keep skipping the year 1979 and go straight to 1980. I know the body looks the same so can I use the same parts?

Does anyone out there know wher I can get specific 1979 chevy caprice parts from?

Many parts will interchange, but the exterior lights will not, and some of the exterior plastic body parts won't. Look the possible parts over well before buy and installng.
