'66 Bel Air no start..

Hey guys;
went out to start my '66 parts car...but it didn't turn over..bat cables ere tight
and went under to try to jump the starter..could just get the drive to spin but not the starter...am I doing something wrong?..I think I got a bad ground someplace..any Ideas?

If the starter just spun then the solinoid might be gone...or is it the bendix..LOL. Drop the starter and see what it does on the bench.

Maybe the battery doesn't have enough umph and you should try jumping it from another car.
