electric fan conversion

how hard would it be to convert my clutch fan over to an electric fan? i have the towing package , so i have one small electric fan already. the reason i am asking is because i found two cracks in the "clutch Fan and coolant pump bracket" and it seems to be a difficult part to find.

On my 83 I removed the crank driven fan and put an electric in no problem , still kept the original shroud.

You would need some wiring but the full details elude me, been so long. A you pull it junkyard would be great so you could see the donor.
If you like it he mechanical I believe I have the parts you need to replace what is cracked.
I do like the electrics better though.
If interested in fixing the mechanical setup shoot me a PM I would not be looking to get rich. I would see value in making the parts go somewhere other than my shed.

So I ordered a wire harness from innovative wire, got a fan and 3 3/8 x 16 x 4 bolts and converted over to electric fans. Looks stock! It all worked great until I made everything permanent. Now it idles high and the fans run constantly. Plus I broke a tranny line! I will attack those issues tomorrow. I am exhausted as I also replaced front and back shocks.

Check the coolant temp sensor on the water pump, that is the likely cause of the fans always on. If disconnected, dead or a wire broke the PCM thinks it is like -40degrees which can cause high idle, but also can't confirm engine temp so it runs the fans in case hot.

I remember the climate control can display rpm, can it display coolant temp? The dash gauge is a different unintegrated sensor all it does is drive the dash needle. More interested in what the PCM is seeing.

I fixed it! I found a loose wire on the ecm. I knew it had to be something stupid like that! She runs like a different car now, new shocks, CTS sensor, electric fan conversion and cold air intake. Now I just have to tackle the rear brakes and an exhaust leak.both of which are ugly. Thanks for your help.

Upgraded wagon tailpipes are going to tough but if not aiming too high hp the stockers could serve fine, sedan parts are the same mufflers forward.
