bad wheel bearing?

My 94 rm is making a humming noise. I cant pinpoint it but it seems to be on the right side. The noise stops when i put even the smallest amount of pressure on the break pedal or when i turn the wheel to the right. Im pretty sure it is a wheel bearing and wondering if you guys could help me pinpoint which one. Thanks

Well, I will take a shot at this, but usually a humming sound points to the rear
differential, meaning that the ring and pinion gears are no longer meshing properly. If you are driving and then let off the gas, does the noise seem to stop or change pitch? If so sounds like a rear differential problem. Usually a wheel bearing( bad one) will also create a vibration,I dont think you mentioned any vibration. Good luck finding the problem . ed

The noise is really only audible after 40mph. There doesnt seem to be any vibrations. The faster the car goes the louder and higher pitched it gets. Letting of the gas without breaking does not stop the noise, only putting pressure on the brake pedal does. Just the slightest amount of pressure on the brake and slightly turning the wheel to the right makes it stop. My abs doesnt work and hasnt since ive owned the car, I dont know if that makes a differance.

The best thing that I can recommend is jack the front wheels off the ground,
take one front wheel at a time and spin it,sometimes you can tell a bad wheel
bearing by hand spinning it. What you will be looking for or listening for is a
slight growling noise or maybe a slight vibration. Remember the noise or vibration will be very sutle at these low hand spinning speeds.
Probably the best way to do this ,but not the easiest ,is to take apart the
wheel assembly ,clean the bearings and races up real well and check the assembly for roller bearing or race failure.
