would doing this at your local gm garage help in getting better fuel milage, being there is 250,000 miles on my roadmaster, & 144,000 on my fleetwood Cadilliac, being they both have the same engines & drive trains.

What kind of mileage are you getting now?
Really you should do a little background work first. Full tuneup, make surte all scheduled maintenence is caught up, then get a CAI and a custom tune. I doubt a GM dealership would modify a pcm's programming. They would be happy to restore it to factory specs but that's probably it. |

First, I know I'm outside of my box here...so admins don't kill me.
Second. I'd recommend a good throttle body cleaning and seafoam the engine as well. Get a good chunk of carbon out of the cylinders, crankcase and valvetrain before you do that tune-up. Also, you can get a Dyno tune place to tune your car for best effciency over performance. $400 might save you a couple thousand in the long run. I know that with my mpg increase (again, outside my box), I'm saving on average $1000 in gas for every 10,000 miles I drive. __________________ ![]() Quote:
