Holding the brackets of the adjuster mechanism to the floor I believe. When you say wooden sliding base, do you mean the lower seat frame? Because you shouldn't have to undo anything from there. You do have to slide the seat right back to access the front bolts though.

the seat is pushed down and back apx 1 in and then lifted up. there is 2 of these about one foot in from the outer edge of the seat.

Like in the video. Pop the bottom off and then unbolt the seat belt shoulder straps under the back rest. The back should lift right out after that.
