Dodge has not been American for a very long time. Obama forced them to sell to Fiat years ago.

What Obama did was tell them to make good on the bailout or close their doors. The trouble isn't with the current presidential party, it's with the lack of actual capitalism in the market today. Had things functioned the way capitalism requires them to, Chrysler would have been a corpse 10 years ago.

Or, it could be that Dodge is the only manufacturer that has held true to the V8 RWD cars that everyone on here longs for and now they're the ones hurting the most... That's why I just laugh every time someone goes into that "wish we had the V8 RWD Impala" discussion. As nice as that would be, there are very few of us who actually want that and Chevy has to go with the "masses", not the "few". Costs too much for them to have separate drivetrains for the same cars - probably why the SS model Impala was dropped... Now, don't get me wrong, I'm one of the guys who firmly believes that the SS, SRT, GT, etc labels should only be used on V8 RWD models, but Chevy has sold an awful lot of Impalas being the only manufacturer to switch over the strictly FWD and drop the V8's. Now, being a huge NASCAR fan, I think they should only allow a car into NASCAR if there is a V8 RWD model for the car, since that is the way it started. Problem is, that rules out every NASCAR model except Dodge...

I agree about it being awesome, I just don't agree with using "SS" badge on anything that doesn't have a V8.

Bush ruined things, Obama came in and tried to "fix" it, but just ruined it more. I see crap loads of chargers and 300's around, so I don't think there is a lack of demand. NASCAR should take fwd cars, so long as they maintain that platform.
