if you have a supercharger or a race car......some cars call for high octane gas....mine don't....
i use 87 sometimes but mostly i use 89 unless the price goes up to 5 bucks again....

In my opinion, if your driving an impala (or any other "regular" car) I don't believe the gas matters THAT much, but once in a while I will fill up my tank with superior gas... just for the hell of it really and for a bit of personal satisfaction lol... :P

Comes from the factory rated for 87 octane, so anything above that is more burning money than anything. I use non-ethanol gas, 87 octane.

The 93 octane doesn't have ethanol either, so if I can't get non-ethanol 87 octane, I will use 93. After the ethanol gas in my truck collected enough water in the fuel rail that it froze when we had negative 30 degree wind chills, I never used e-10 again.

gas where I live is non-reformulated but if i go into the city then gas there is and its higher and the mileage i get from it sucks....I dont buy gas there unless I have to. In the city its 3.49 for 87 where as I get 87 for 3.00....higher price for cheaper gas....should be the other way around but I aint complainin'.

Wow, I need to move. Gas here is about $3.50 for 87, and my car hates 87, likes 89, loves 92. Maybe its the ethanol? I usually run 89, it runs better with 92 but I'm broke, and the mileage doesn't get any better.

It would be worth it to try to find a station that has non-ethanol gas. It is usually the same as 89 octane, or a couple cents less.
