Convertible care

What's a good way to clean off a convertible top properly? I ask because mine has a little dust buildup and I want to know if anyone's tried anything that worked particularly well.

My Pontiac 2+2 is a convertible and I use a microfiber wash glove and car wash solutution to get the dirt off. Then I dry it with a cotton cloth. Next I use a spray on convertible top protectant that you buff in, wait a rew minutes and then buff out with a damp cloth. I will have to get the name of the protectant I use because it is good stuff. I bought it at the local Auto Zone. Makes my top shine like new, by the way, my top is white.
